Ever since I read, “What to Say When You Talk to Yourself”, I wanted to learn more about the subconscious mind.
I spent a few days researching “the right book” on the topic.
And cheap! ha.
Such is my life with an ultra-tight budget.
I was so happy to find just the right one for the depth and practicality and, of course, my bank balance.
Turned out he’s the father of this subject.
Fair warning though.
Only buy it if you plan to apply what you learn.
Yes, it costs less than a cup of coffee but you’ll still waste your time and energy.
Just to say that this book can truly change your life.
Buy it with that anticipation and plan to follow advice and tips in the book.
You’ll then experience amazing things in your life.
The Father of All the Others
Dr Joseph Murphy had been hailed as a major influence on prominent writers such as James Allen, Dale Carnegie, Napoleon Hill and Norman Vincent Peale.
He also inspired contemporary motivational writers and speakers such as Earl Nightingale, Zig Ziglar and Tony Robbins.
So if you really want to get down to business about our subconscious mind, there’s no one to explain it better than Dr Joseph Murphy.
I dare say the book is probably better than any modern-day self-help book out there even though it was first published in 1963.
And I suspect many of the current self-help books come from this book.
More Emphasis on Taking Action
I’m not new to the law of attraction.
I first learned about it through “The Secrets” along with many self-help books.
My thoughts weren’t in harmony with my mind.
Because of internal conflicts, I couldn’t take the right action.
I realised my error with absolute clarity after reading, “What to Say When You Talk to Yourself”.
So I was in the right frame of mind when I started reading, “The Power of the Subconscious Mind”.
I’d already gotten rid of the critical thoughts that had stopped me from achieving all the things I wanted.
Thanks to these two books, I’ve completely transformed my life.
From welcoming each morning as a new opportunity to falling asleep thanking for everything that has happened for me.
I’ve learned to give the right command to my subconscious mind.
Planting clear thoughts that are happy, positive and joyful, not confusing ones.
My thoughts are no longer in conflicts with my subconscious mind because I truly appreciate my life as it is and anticipate more abundance to come my way.
The Great Power that Lies Within You
We all have the potential to create our perfect life, live a happy and prosperous one.
The key to unlocking “the secret” has always been within you.
You just don’t know how to train your subconscious mind and attract what you want into your life.
This book teaches you how to do it.
Knowing the power of your subconscious mind and practising what you learn from this book will set you on the right path on your life journey.
Know your subconscious mind well.
Be a good commander.
Your subconscious mind has your back.
Your best interest.
It works hard to serve you 24/7.
Command it with the right orders.
It’ll do your bidding at all times.
- Easy to read and understand
- Written in a friendly, approachable and informal style (not preachy at all!)
- Practical/actionable tips with lots of examples
- The good and useful summary at the end of each chapter
- The potential that it could change your whole life only if you apply what you learn
- Published in 1963, usage of outdated English language/expression is noticeable but not to derail you from the flow of reading and understanding the messages.
(If you prefer a contemporary book that explores the same principle, I recommend this book. I read it a while ago and remember thinking how well it’s written. One of those books I’d happily read again.)
